Hi all

It’s been a strange old summer.  We’ve had all kinds of weather, mainly bad, but luckily it hasn’t kept people away – some completely mad guests even took part in the Snowdonia marathon a few weeks back in cold winds and terrible rain.  We had a wedding in the rain too, though luckily a great day was still had by all.

Then there was the cow on our lawn!  I looked up from my desk one evening to see a cow running past my office window – closely followed by a farmer trying to get her back to the farm!

We’re now well and truly into autumn and could do with a helicopter to land on the lawn and clear the leaves off it.  Before we know it, it’ll be Christmas and we’ll be into the New Year.  We're closed during December for a bit more decorating and open only at weekends in January, where you can grab a bargain break - read on for full details.

We've always allowed our guests to securely book rooms online, but soon you'll have the added convenience of selecting a range of "optional extras" at the time of booking.

Flowers in your room on arrival, or maybe a chilled bottle of your favourite champagne? Simply tick the box! For extra flexibility, there will even be an option for an early check-in or later check-out, for a small charge.
