Wireless Internet Access

WHY DO WE CHARGE FOR INTERNET ACCESS?

We are no longer able to offer anonymous internet access at Plas Dinas.

The Digital Economy Act 2010 means that any illegal activity such as copyright theft is now the responsibilty of the venue owner. This means we are required to protect our wi-fi network by warning against illegal activity and be able to identify who has access at any given time.

We use a 3rd party supplier (HotSpotSystem.com) to manage our wi-fi internet service and keep the relevant records.

We make a small charge to guests for internet access to cover the running costs and towards the network equipment necessary to provide a decent wi-fi signal in all guest areas.

If you have any further questions about our wireless internet service, please speak to Andy or Julian on reception.
